I was thrilled to take part in McHappy days on May 6th. McHappy Day is a great day in support of children's charities. This year they supported St Clair Child & Youth and Ronald McDonald House. During the day members of the community are asked to volunteer at McDonalds for the day in order to raise awareness and funds for the charities.
McDonalds gave a portion of all sales to the charities along with donations collected at the door. In all over $21,000 was raised this year. I foound it to be such a rewarding experience. The staff at McDonald was warm and welcoming and had such great patience for the volunteers who were there. I was able to help at the french fry station and it was fun, fast paced and hot!
If you have the opportunity to volunteer or give back to the wonderful community that we live in, take that opportunity. The rewards are amazing and you can feel good knowing that you have helped a great organization who in turns helps someone in need.
