My women's networking group is once again undertaking the task of raising funds for and building a home for a local family. Last year our campaign was called 40 Women 40 Days $40,000. The goal was that each of the 40 women would $1000 in 40 days. We came so very close and because of our efforts Anne and her family now have a new home.
This year our campaign is a little different. It takes 300, 2X4 wooden studs to build a habitiat home. Each one of these homes costs $75,000 to build, broken down that is $250 per stud. Women in Networking has taken on the task of selling 100 of these studs. Our campaign is called "I love my Stud" and we are accepting all donations. A donation of $20 gets you a tax receipt and for $100 or more you can have a "I love my stud" t-shirt.
Along with raising the funds for this build we will also be helping out on the build site once again. When the home is done in the spring Megan and her daughter Tori will have a safe secure place to live.
Please contact me if you would like to donate to our fundraising campaign. I can stop by to pick up cash or cheques or you can drop cheques at my office at 1323 Michigan Avenue Sarnia. All donations are appreciated! (email transfers are also accepted)
